About the Role

This is a full-time faculty appointment in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of South Florida (USF) Department of Surgery, with attending staff privileges at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and affiliated hospitals. TGH is a Level 1 trauma center serving as a tertiary care facility for south central and west Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with benign and malignant breast diseases.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in breast surgery and clinical trials.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical and radiation oncology faculty.
• Actively participate in didactic education of residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Supervise, mentor, and train surgical residents and fellows.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida and eligible to work in the United States.
• Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization.
• Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
• Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

Qualifications for Associate/Full Professor

• Produced creative work, professional writing, or research in refereed and other professional journals.
• Recognized authority in the field of specialization.
