General Duties
The Open Rank position will provide clinical expertise in patient care and an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents and students in the specialty of Surgical Oncology. A highly specialized surgeon who uses computer-assisted robotic platforms to perform precise, minimally invasive operations to diagnose, stage, and remove gastrointestinal tumors. Will integrate his/her research and programmatic efforts into an existing and robust gastrointestinal surgery program.
Experience And Education
- Doctorate-level degree in a field appropriate to Faculty role
- Department mission
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas
- Board certified (or obtained within departmental timeline), unless exempted
- Five years post clinical degree with any combination of time as a: clinician, clinical scientist or GME trainee
