About the role

The University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine (SDM) invites applications for a full-time, clinical track faculty (Open Rank) to work in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and the CU School of Dental Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Collaboratively build and/or maintain programs within the SDM that provide quality service regarding local, state, national, and international needs in alignment with the mission and strategic plan of the SDM.
  • Service: Service responsibilities include service to the assigned program, the school, and with other responsibilities as negotiated.
  • Research/Scholarship: Opportunities to collaborate on or initiate programmatic inquiry and scholarship in alignment with SDM mission and vision.

Requirements

  • A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of a CODA approved Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program.
  • Eligibility for a Colorado dental license and board eligible in Pediatric Dentistry.

Qualifications

  • Assistant Professor: Some successful teaching experience and/or history of providing clinical care.
  • Associate Professor: Well qualified to teach and/or provide clinical care with considerable demonstrated evidence of successful teaching and demonstrated leadership and service.

Skills

Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to dental medicine. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Thorough knowledge of current management and leadership methods and best practices. Knowledge of professional standards, concepts and practices related to supervision. Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive information. Ability to take initiative with daily work activities and collaborate to create a positive effect on team performance.

Pay

Hiring Range: Assistant Professor: $185,000 to $197,000 Associate Professor: $210,000 to $222,500
