About the role
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Columbia invites applications from individuals with training or experience in pathology and/or pathophysiology who have a major interest in medical education.
This is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pathology in the new integrated organ system-based curriculum of USCSOM. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing and facilitating interactive/self-directed learning as well as case-based, team-based, and small-group sessions. Additional duties may include student mentoring, committee work, and participation in educational or scholarly activities. Candidates for this position are not required to provide patient care responsibilities.

Requirements
- Earned M.D., D.O., D.V.M., and/or Ph.D. from an accredited institution
- Experience in medical pathology education
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- An ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and other personnel
