About the role

The University of North Carolina TEACCH Autism Program seeks a clinical faculty member to join our team. This position offers a combination of clinical, research, and teaching activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a diagnostic and treatment caseload of autistic clients across the lifespan consistent with faculty expertise.
  • Supervise trainees, provide consultation, and train other professionals locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Engage in a variety of community-based research activities, including but not limited to:
    • Promoting access to care for Black toddlers
    • Transition to adulthood interventions
    • Mental health intervention and services research for autistic adults and older adults

Requirements

  • Completion of accredited PhD or PsyD in clinical, school, or other mental health doctoral program.
  • Previous clinical training (if applicable) and experience in assessment and treatment of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or related clinical discipline in the state of North Carolina within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

  • Prior experience in academic medical setting and/or in a high-performing clinical team.

Qualifications
