About the role

The candidate will be expected to participate as a medical oncologist in the clinical sarcoma cancer program. The multidisciplinary sarcoma program includes weekly multidisciplinary clinics and tumor board, with faculty including surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and pathologists, in addition to a full-service consult and follow-up clinics, hereditary clinics and an infusion center. We are supported by nursing staff, advanced practice providers as well as several clinical research associates. In addition to Sarcoma clinical trials, strong collaborations exist with Childrens Hospital and the Phase One, Expansion, and Molecular Studies (POEMs) program.

Responsibilities

  • Attend on the inpatient oncology/hematology ward at University of Colorado Hospital (UCH)
  • Have an outpatient clinical practice
  • Mentor Medical Oncology fellows and post-doctoral fellows
  • Participate in the joint supervision of Medical Oncology fellows, nurses and post-doctoral fellows
  • Attend weekly multidisciplinary clinics and tumor board
  • Collaborate with Children's Hospital and the POEMs program

Requirements

  • Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution in U.S., or equivalent, if a non-U.S. graduate, must complete ECFMG certification & be qualified to obtain a temporary CO Medical license.
  • Eligible to be credentialed by the institutional processes established for oversight for advanced professional medical practice.
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible, or board certified in Medical Oncology &/or Hematology.

Qualifications

  • Assistant Professor: 4-8 years of experience and achievement in clinical activity, research, and education
  • Associate Professor: 4-8 years of experience and achievement in clinical activity, research, and education
  • Professor: 9+ years of experience and achievement in clinical activity, research, and education

Skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and troubleshoot research projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance, safety, and regulatory procedures in research.

Pay

  • Hiring Range: Assistant Professor: $210,000-230,000
  • Hiring Range: Associate Professor: $270,000-285,000
  • Hiring Range: Professor: $310,000-325,000
