OP Imaging Scheduler, Outpatient Imaging Center, Full Time

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible for working in conjunction with physicians and clinical staff to take care of patients’ administrative needs.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments
• Checking in patients for appointments
• Collecting patient co-pays
• Answering telephones
• Taking accurate health screenings
• Checking insurance eligibility
• Verifying and updating patient demographic information using the electronic record system
• Posting and balancing of payments collected
• Providing excellent customer service to ensure patients are informed and well cared for while waiting for their appointment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• One (1) year of Patient Access experience or two (2) years of customer service experience is required

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a medical office and/or radiology setting is preferred
• Two (2) years of scheduling experience is preferred
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy is preferred
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credentials by the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) or another National Patient Access certification is preferred

Pay

Pay Range $23.00 - $28.65 per hour
