Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr. plus monthly bonus after 90 days of up to $300

Hospital Referral Services helps patients bedside to determine what assistance programs the uninsured or underinsured may be eligible to receive. We guide patients through the Medicaid process so they can focus on recovery. This opening is for an Onsite Medicaid Screening Representative at Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

• Review the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients admitted to the Emergency Room.
• Screen/Interview patients bedside in a hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for assistance programs including Medicaid and charities.
• High volume of walking and standing (70% - 80% of your shift).
• Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff, and patients.
• Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Meet production goals and objectives assigned by hospital and management on a monthly basis.
• Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and type a minimum of 40 WPM.
• Reliable transportation.
• Good attendance and dependability are essential.
• Successful completion of drug and background test is required.
• Annual flu shots and TB testing are required.
• Availability to work some holidays.

Pay

$17.50 hourly plus a monthly bonus of up to $300 after 90 days.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, including holidays.
