Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative

About the role

We are seeking a self-motivated Onsite Medicaid Screening Representative to assist patients at a hospital emergency room.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing hospital census to identify uninsured patients.
• Screening and interviewing patients bedside to assess eligibility for Medicaid and assistance programs.
• Completing Medicaid and charity applications as needed.
• Maintaining positive relationships with co-workers, hospital staff, and patients.
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy.
• Meeting production goals and objectives set by hospital management.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with privacy regulations.
• High volume walking and standing required (70-80% of shift).

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and typing minimum 40 WPM.
• Reliable transportation and good attendance.
• Successful drug and background screening, annual flu shots, and TB testing.
• Availability to work some holidays.

Pay

$17.50/hr with monthly bonus potential.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm, including holidays.
