Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production web applications and backend services in a distributed team environment.
• Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs with versioning and backward compatibility.
• Write unit and integration tests, improve coverage, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce secure coding practices, and contribute to engineering standards.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and API latency using metrics and profiling.
• Collaborate with product and QA to scope work, estimate effort, and ship safely.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (features, services, runbooks, onboarding).

Required Qualifications

• Mid-Senior experience delivering production software.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and practical system design.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Git, pull requests, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
• Able to thrive in a fully remote setting with strong written communication and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment workflows.
• Docker/containerization fundamentals.
• Front-end UI frameworks and accessibility best practices.
• Observability (logging/monitoring/tracing) and incident response exposure.

Pay

$30–$50/hr (hourly base pay).
