Overview

Rex.zone connects mid-senior engineers with remote, full-time software engineering work supporting US-based teams. You will ship production features, improve code quality, and collaborate in a remote-first environment with strong engineering standards across testing, security, and performance.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship features for web applications and backend services
• Design, implement, and document REST APIs, data models, and integrations
• Write clean, testable code; improve unit/integration test coverage
• Participate in code reviews, enforce standards, and reduce technical debt
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes
• Optimize API performance, database queries, and user-facing flows
• Collaborate asynchronously with product, QA, and engineering via remote-first workflows
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release reliability

Required Qualifications

• Mid-senior software engineering experience delivering production code
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js; ability to learn new stacks
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, SQL, Git, and code reviews
• Experience writing automated tests and working with CI/CD concepts
• Clear written communication for remote collaboration

Compensation

Hourly base pay range: $30–$50/hr (USD). Final compensation depends on scope and interview performance.
