About the Role

The On Wing Support Customer Support Planner, based in Grand Prairie, Texas, coordinates all aspects of engine maintenance from initial job request through final billing. This position supports maintenance on GE/CFM commercial aircraft engines in the field and in-shop, partnering with customers, GE Aviation facilities, and global partners. Strong customer responsiveness and collaboration with technicians are critical to success.

Responsibilities

  • Input data into the site ERP (SAP) to initiate shop or field jobs, including work order creation.
  • Understand compliance requirements for new customer setup and utilize processes to establish new customers and contracts in SAP (Know Your Customer process).
  • Support the commercial team in quoting and managing work scopes, parts, and logistics.
  • Assist the billing team with cost accumulations, invoice processing, and Accounts Receivable reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure timely work scoping for shop and field jobs.
  • Provide "all-hands on deck" support for AOGs (Aircraft on Ground) as they arise.
  • Coordinate access to customer sites, including managing badging and required access to customer/airport properties.
  • Comply with safety requirements, complete scheduled training, participate in investigations, and escalate safety issues to leadership.
  • Participate in GENBA activities to identify and address sources of defects, escalating risks to leadership.
  • Lead and participate in LEAN events using GE Flight Deck Lean methodology, applying principles like standard work, tiered accountability, and visual management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Apply continuous improvement to standard work, identify sources of waste and customer dissatisfaction, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Work flexible shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and support off-hours calls for emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of aircraft engine maintenance operations experience (or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ additional years of experience).

Qualifications

  • Federal Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) license strongly preferred.
  • Approach work with a "can-do" attitude and commitment to team and customer objectives.
  • Desire to learn and grow with technology advancements and new engine models.
  • Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis tools.
  • Previous experience with LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34, and GENX engines, including international field experience (line maintenance, engine changes, module removal/installation, LRU removals/installations).
  • Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Shop Manual procedures.
  • Demonstrated skills in quality, compliance, EHS, and customer satisfaction.
