About the role

This position is located within a municipal fleet maintenance facility where you will work directly with technicians, mechanics, and fleet personnel to keep critical vehicles and equipment operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to fleet technicians and personnel by assisting with their daily parts needs.
• Identify, source, and recommend parts using catalogs, vendor resources, and company systems.
• Generate invoices and process requisitions accurately within the ERP system.
• Receive vendor shipments and process receiving documents.
• SOURCE AND PROCESS BUYOUTS FOR NON-STOCKED PARTS WHEN REQUIRED.
• Respond promptly to in-person, phone, and email inquiries.
• Maintain accurate inventory organization and assist with inventory management activities.
• Keep the parts room, inventory areas, and customer-facing spaces clean, organized, and professional.
• BUILD STRONG WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH FLEET PERSONNEL, VENDORS, AND TEAMMATES.
• Maintain product knowledge to better support customer needs and improve service levels.
• Occasionally OPERATE A COMPANY VEHICLE TO PICK UP PARTS OR SUPPLIES.
• AID DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND PROVIDE OCCASIONAL AFTER-HOURS SUPPORT WHEN NECESSARY.
• PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck, fleet, industrial, or aftermarket parts is preferred but not required.
