About the role
This position is located within a municipal fleet maintenance facility where you will work directly with technicians, mechanics, and fleet personnel to keep critical vehicles and equipment operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to fleet technicians and personnel by assisting with their daily parts needs.
- Identify, source, and recommend parts using catalogs, vendor resources, and company systems.
- Generate invoices and process requisitions accurately within the ERP system.
- Receive vendor shipments and process receiving documents.
- SOURCE AND PROCESS BUYOUTS FOR NON-STOCKED PARTS WHEN REQUIRED.
- Respond promptly to in-person, phone, and email inquiries.
- Maintain accurate inventory organization and assist with inventory management activities.
- Keep the parts room, inventory areas, and customer-facing spaces clean, organized, and professional.
- BUILD STRONG WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH FLEET PERSONNEL, VENDORS, AND TEAMMATES.
- Maintain product knowledge to better support customer needs and improve service levels.
- Occasionally OPERATE A COMPANY VEHICLE TO PICK UP PARTS OR SUPPLIES.
- ASSIST DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND PROVIDE OCCASIONAL AFTER-HOURS SUPPORT WHEN NECESSARY.
- PURSUE OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED.

- Experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck, fleet, industrial, or aftermarket parts is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
