Job Description

In accordance with postal regulations, sell postage supplies, weigh parcels, advise customers of available services and distribute parcels/mail.

Provide excellent customer service including recommending most economical, safest and quickest services; educate customer on proper packaging and special services; ensure interactions with all customers are polite and professional.

Maintain adequate postage, cash and work supplies. Balance cash drawer weekly and report any shortfalls or overages to Post Office Supervisor immediately; record results in daily log.

Advises supervisor of any problems immediately. Receive and distribute parcels from commercial courier services. Process undeliverable mail; forward US mail during absences from campus.

Handle cash, make change, and maintain staff accountability and record office charges. Post accounts for services rendered.

Education and Skills
