On Call / Float Direct Support Professional

About the role
We are seeking motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in group settings within our group homes and apartments. The role offers a flexible biweekly schedule and includes a variety of duties such as medication administration, activities of daily living, money management, treatment documentation, personal cares, meal preparation, and planning and transportation.
Responsibilities
- Medication administration
- Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
- Money management
- Treatment documentation
- Personal cares (bathing, toileting, feeding, etc.)
- Meal preparation (handling all types of food)
- Planning and transportation to/from activities
- Community integration
- Provide temporary direct support as needed
- Implement service plans effectively
- Work in multiple locations and times on Saturdays and Sundays
Requirements
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with an acceptable record
- Ability to pass a DHS background study
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary coursework preferred for Float DSP positions
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills

Pay and Schedule
- Starting pay range: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
- Variety of different locations throughout the Twin Cities Metro
- Full and Part-time schedules available
- Schedule may change at the last minute
- Schedule will be created a month ahead of time
