Float Direct Support Professional

AHL HealthCare Group is seeking extraordinary, kind, and compassionate Float Direct Support Professionals to act as advocates, supporters, educators, and caregivers for individuals with disabilities or mental illness. Float DSPs train and work across our various programs, traveling among locations and receiving their schedule on a week-to-week basis to fill in based on scheduling needs. This role comes with higher compensation and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Demonstrating positive and supportive behavior with clients and coworkers
• Medication administration
• Documenting services provided daily in electronic records and computer systems
• Socializing with residents and participating in activities with them
• Accompanying clients to appointments
• Training at all programs and filling in based on scheduling needs

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older
• 1 year of experience working in the field
• Ability to pass a MN DHS background study
• Every other weekend availability required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
• Working mobile phone to be reached during availability/scheduling window

Pay

$20.00–$21.00/hour depending on program worked at, plus mileage reimbursement.

• Part-time
• Day shift or evening shift or awake overnight shift
