Float Direct Support Professional

About the role

Float DSPs travel among our various programs and receive their schedule on a week-to-week basis, filling in at programs based on scheduling needs. This role includes higher compensation and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Demonstrating positive and supportive behavior with clients and coworkers
• Medication administration
• Documenting services provided daily in electronic records and computer systems
• Socializing with residents and doing activities with them
• Going to appointments with clients
• Training in all programs and filling in based on the schedule of the program

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older
• 1 year of experience working in the field
• Ability to pass a MN DHS background study
• Every other weekend availability required
• Driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
• Working mobile phone to be reached during availability/scheduling window

Pay

$20.00–$21.00/hour depending on program worked at, plus mileage reimbursement.

• Part-time
• Day shift or evening shift or awake overnight shift
