About the role

This multi-skilled O&M Technician position performs operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across electrical, instrument, and mechanical disciplines within assigned power-production facilities. The role is cross-functional to provide operational flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, adjust, operate, and control power-production, auxiliary, and facility equipment to ensure safe, legal, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Check and report on all phases of operation for difficulties or irregularities.
• Conduct duties in compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
• Assess equipment condition through inspections, testing, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance and report on repairs to assigned equipment.
• Train others in the inspection, repair, and operation of the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an industrial maintenance discipline (related industry or military experience accepted).
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass aptitude and skill testing.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work, including handling objects up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights, around water, off platforms, walkways, and scaffolding.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Must pass a respirator fit test and wear appropriate PPE as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Gas Turbine maintenance experience.
• Post-secondary or advanced education in a technical field.
• PC skills and safety background in plant environments.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Welding, quality assurance, or lab/chemistry background.

Schedule

Normally a 12-hour rotating schedule; overtime as required. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.

Wage rate is based on qualifications as determined by management. Employees typically enter at the minimum rate for the O&M Technician (Level I-2) classification.
