The Role and What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day management of client’s IOC, IPC and OCOG partnerships, assets and relationships
  • Coordinate and manage activation strategy, planning and execution with client functional teams (brand, marketing, hospitality, operations, PR, etc.) and relevant agency partners in connection with client’s sponsorship platforms
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Olympic and Paralympic partnership strategy and activation; evaluate additional sponsorship opportunities and support contract negotiations as appropriate
  • Lead the global Olympic and Paralympic property approvals program on behalf of the client including development of guidelines and leading training sessions
  • Develop client-ready materials, such as POVs, recommendations, detailed project plans, and manage timelines to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met and within budget
  • Partner with internal divisions, external stakeholders, and third-party vendors as needed to ensure activities and services meet protocol and brand standards
  • Provide strategic thinking and recommendations regarding the Olympic and Paralympic space for client and agency at large
  • Support to Senior Account Director and Account Leadership on overarching account management and planning
  • Lead and mentor direct reports

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of agency or client-based sponsorship account management experience
  • Olympic and / or global sports experience and an understanding of the business of sports, sports media and sports marketing / sponsorship specifically related to the Olympic & Paralympic Games is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in managing the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy and activation on behalf of a client or company
  • Prior experience in managing day-to-day relationships with clients, agencies, and vendors
  • Prior experience in sponsorship contract negotiations
  • Understanding of and practical experience with event marketing operations and logistics
  • Capable of managing multiple projects independently and diligently while delivering under time pressure towards pre-defined goals
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and flexible team-first player with a proactive approach
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Hiring Rate

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Rate Minimum: $63,750 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)

Hiring Rate Maximum: $85,000 annually
