Oil & Gas Billing Specialist
About the role
Manage customer invoicing for local Oil and Gas accounts. Key responsibilities include reconciling internal and external systems, handling disputes, and working directly with customers and credit offices.
Responsibilities
- Invoice and process invoices through accounting systems and external customer portals
- Research and understand customer billing policies and procedures
- Build and maintain a detailed tracking system for purchase order values, invoiced amounts, and accounts receivable
- Work with purchasing, accounts payable, and on-site contractors to resolve billing issues
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3+ years of Customer Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Collection experience
- Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Intermediate Excel skills, with advanced skills preferred
- Ability to complete complex account reconciliations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and collaborative skills
- Constructive conflict resolution and professional customer interaction
- Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency
- Effective negotiation techniques with customers
- Preferred experience with Web-Based Workflow Solution Software
