About the role

The role involves supervising and leading a team of Client Banking Officers to ensure exceptional client service. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, assisting with escalated issues, and managing personnel actions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates daily activities of the team including effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules, and providing necessary training & guidance.
  • Affords leadership during absence of the Team Manager.
  • Assists with escalated issues from Community Banking, Business Banking, and Specialty Banking, CRE/Loan Servicing, and other internal lines of businesses.
  • Processes, reconciles, and/or approves routine and complex transactions of varying risk and financial value in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and addresses exceptions and may resolve escalated items.
  • Partners internally with service partners to route calls, documents or other action items to complete transactions.
  • Reviews transactions and verifies work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to established service levels and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Makes decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross-functional departments.
  • Organizes and prioritizes work schedules on a short and long-term basis.
  • Provides consultation and expert advice to management.
  • Delivers informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization.
  • Works with little to no supervision while performing duties.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring, and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short and long-term basis.
  • Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.
  • Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.
  • Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • 3 years of prior banking or financial services industry experience required.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience and/or training.

Skills

  • Knowledge of, adherence to, and monitoring of ECCHO Rules, NACHA Rules.

Pay

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
