About the Role

The Client Banking Officer (CBO) – Community Banking Support role is dedicated to supporting Community Banking Relationship Managers by performing a variety of operational functions. This includes onboarding new deposit accounts and treasury products for both consumer and business clients, handling account inquiries, and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of daily transactions. The role requires sound decision-making in accordance with company policies, procedures, and U.S. state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard Business and Consumer depository products and services routed through the Community Banking channel.
  • Complete Treasury Management (TM) set-up forms to enable TM products and services for business clients.
  • Fulfill various types of deposit account maintenance and supersede requests.
  • Gather, complete, and validate Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and forms for depository and TM services.
  • Provide clients with detailed information about their depository and/or TM products and services.
  • Process transaction and wire requests up to prescribed authority limits.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, transactions, or problems using sound judgment and experience.
  • Process daily requests, perform account maintenance, review transactions, reconcile and approve routine and complex transactions, and obtain appropriate approvals (e.g., Wire Transfers, Exception Item Processing, Non-Post, Fraud Alerts, Research, Adjustments, Stop Payments, Debit Cards, Mobile Capture Limits, RDC).
  • Respond to inquiries or refer them to the appropriate department or person, ensuring follow-through with clients and frontline staff.
  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of consumer and business account types and document requirements.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport with clients, peers, and partners.
  • Adaptability to change, ability to work independently or in a group, and apply oral/written instructions.
  • Ability to understand complex problems, collaborate, and explore alternative solutions.
  • Decision-making skills with moderate impact on the immediate work unit.

  • Ability to complete routine forms, letters, and conduct routine oral communication.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of client services experience.
  • 1 year of Banking or Financial Services, business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience complying with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Identification Programs (CIP).

Pay

The base salary offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, aligned with market data and other factors.
