OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING)
About the role
The Office Technician (Typing) under the direct supervision of the Personnel Supervisor II, is responsible for performing more complex clerical duties in the reception area of the Personnel Office.
Responsibilities
- Performing complex clerical duties in the reception area of the Personnel Office.
- Assisting with administrative tasks as directed.
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail and documents.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records and files.
- Assisting with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Providing general office support, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Using modern office methods, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements
Minimum requirements include a valid typing certificate confirming the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications. Other requirements are detailed in the Class Specification.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications. Additional qualifications are detailed in the Class Specification.
Skills
Skills required include proficiency in using modern office methods, supplies, and equipment; business English and correspondence; principles of effective training; and the ability to type at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $3,829.00 - $4,794.00 per month.
Schedule
This is a 12-month Limited Term position that may be extended to 24 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
