About the role

The Clinic Office Coordinator will provide leadership, support, direction, and focus for the outpatient clinic, responsible for staffing and supervision of daily activities to produce successful outcomes of all patient encounters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical operations related to the whole production cycle of the outpatient scheduling, authorizations and verification system
  • Work collaboratively with clerks to insure meeting standards of performance and participate in the peer interview process for prospective associates
  • Coordinate scheduling program through the collection and reporting of data to the Clinical Program Director to examine efficiency of the department and the program it supports
  • Develop daily workflow monitoring for areas of responsibility and staff to meet the needs of the organization
  • Provide support to all areas of Wound Care OP department patient access
  • Work with service department and referring providers to identify areas of exposure and design processes that will increase knowledge of staff and improve outcomes in service, quality, and accuracy
  • Respond to organizational and clients’ needs with innovative processes to ensure service excellence
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrate competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the age specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department
  • Adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age specific and other developmental needs of each patient served
  • Take personal responsibility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards as promulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities
  • Perform all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience within the healthcare industry, including knowledge of admission, registration requirements, scheduling and Wound Care OP department access
  • General working knowledge in integrity requirements and procedures
  • Practical knowledge of common office software applications

Work Schedule

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday, Full Time
