About the role
The Court of Administrative Hearings (CAH) is seeking to hire up to two (2) Receptionists in our St. Paul office. CAH is the largest of three Executive Branch Courts with over seventy full-time employees located in St. Paul and Duluth. CAH hears cases involving 200 unique areas of administrative law and serves as Minnesota’s workers' compensation trial court. CAH renders justice through fair, timely, and impartial hearings and by providing high-quality dispute resolution services.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and accurate responses to telephone and in-person inquiries.
- Retrieve and process office-wide mail.
- Maintain hearing and conference rooms.
- Provide on-site technical assistance in courtrooms.
- Maintain office supplies.
Requirements
- Data entry skills sufficient to create database records and update entries in a timely manner.
- Customer service skills sufficient to respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers while handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
- Data entry skills sufficient to receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents.
- Skilled in document and records management sufficient to maintain electronic or paper files for efficient organization and retrieval of information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Receptionist experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and C-Track case management system.
- Ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to meet timelines with limited supervision.
- High level of initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time.
- Move and/or transport items weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
Additional Requirements
- Background investigation prior to employment.
