Established in 1908, RGI is the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Boone Quarry is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates for an Off-road Haul Truck Driver position in Verona, KY.

About the Role

Full-time, day shift with approximate hours of 6:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Wages start at $23.00/hr for entry-level candidates; pay is determined based on experience. Some positions require no experience, and Rogers Group will provide training. Candidates with mining experience will be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate haul trucks safely and efficiently to transport shot rock from the pit to the crusher or stockpile.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as fueling, cleaning, or checking fluid levels as trained and directed by management.
  • Communicate effectively with other equipment operators and personnel via radio or other communication systems.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Operate equipment on varying terrain and in diverse weather conditions with consistent attention to safety and control.
  • Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA/Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Requirements

  • Dedication to safe work practices.
  • Previous experience operating articulating haul trucks and/or rigid frame haul trucks is preferred.
  • Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate exposure to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 20 feet.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.

Pay
