About the Role
The Occupational Therapist Assistant provides occupational therapy to patients, aiming to restore their physical abilities within the scope of practice and state laws. They follow treatment plans set by supervising OTs, instruct patients and caregivers, and observe and report patient responses and condition changes.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to state-specific laws and treatment plans
- Assist and educate patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Document patient progress and communicate responses to supervisors and physicians
- Work effectively in diverse home environments regardless of client background
Requirements
- Current OT Assistant licensure in the state
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
