Occupational Therapy Assistant - Home Health

About the Role

Provides prescribed occupational therapy treatments under supervision, including geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and neonatal rehabilitation, as well as splint follow-ups and managing medical conditions. Participates in home environmental assessments and assists with rehab care plan development. Works with minimal supervision and may mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and select modalities to achieve goals
• Transport, transfer, and assist patients with mobility and daily needs, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assist with patient scheduling, report delays, and coordinate visits
• Maintain and clean equipment and supplies
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's/Technical Degree preferred
• Two years of rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education preferred
• One year occupational therapy experience preferred
• Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in applicable states required
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license and minimum age of 21 required
