Primary Responsibilities
- Follows all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
- Follows the treatment plan only as defined by the supervising OT.
- Instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants.
- Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
- Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
- Certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently.
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
Pay
Pay Range: $49,500 - $109,300 annual total cash target pay
Per Visit Point Rate Compensation: $26.19 - $57.92 per visit point
Hourly Rate: $21.83 - $48.27 hourly rate
Annual Total Cash Compensation for this role assumes full-time employment (40 weekly hours) at full productivity and generally follows the range above. Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
