Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic in-house therapy team and provide exceptional patient-centered care. New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!

About Our Team

We are a large, close-knit therapy team that values collaboration, mutual respect, trust, and continuous learning. Our team includes both new graduates and experienced therapists, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and grow. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, and benefit from the support of two dedicated Rehab Aides for treatment setup assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a variety of settings, including Acute Neuro Rehab, Aquatic Pool Therapy, and Pain Management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment in the therapy gym.
• Document patient progress efficiently using personalized laptops.

Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant License.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for occupational therapy and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Interest in continuing education and professional growth.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer software for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles.
