Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA

About the role

VCU Health at Home by BAYADA has an immediate opening for a Part Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide visits for our Richmond, VA home health office covering North of the River in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients to help them remain at home.
• Work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team.
• Offer services that help people of all ages have a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity.
• Deliver high-quality home health care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Requirements

• Be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the state of VA.
• Willingness to travel in assigned territory.
• Graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, or have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
• At least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
