Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA

Responsibilities

• Serves as a therapeutic interventionist under the direction of an occupational therapist.
• Evaluates patient responses to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents patient care progress and identifies ongoing treatment needs.
• Collaborates with the occupational therapist to develop educational programs for patients and families.
• Aids the occupational therapist in training team members on occupational therapy knowledge and skills.
• Contributes to cost-effective care delivery.
• Reports complaints and grievances from residents to the appropriate personnel.
• Reports incidents of resident abuse to designated supervisors.
• Moves between campus locations and home health assignments as needed.
• Maintains compliance with resident rights policies.
• Maintains professional and technical competency in job responsibilities.
• Participates in survey preparation activities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
