About the role

As an Occupational Therapist (PRN) in our Rehabilitation Department, you will embrace a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This variable, PRN schedule role allows you to contribute meaningfully while maintaining flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.
• Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
• Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed; seek consultation as necessary.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervise and delegate care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Tennessee Occupational Therapist license.
• Basic Life Support certification (required at the time of hire).
