Occupational Therapist | PRN Acute Care

Role Overview

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, develops and adjusts treatment plans, and educates patients to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across all age groups to determine their needs and conditions.
• Design and modify therapy programs based on patient progress and diagnosis.
• Educate patients on treatment procedures and safety precautions.
• Measure and document patient progress throughout therapy.
• Maintain knowledge of occupational therapy practices, equipment, and safety measures.
• Utilize computer skills for documentation and communication.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Master's preferred.
• Current Florida Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of therapy procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation and splinting/orthotic fabrication is a plus.
• Less than one year of clinical experience in relevant settings.
