About the Role
The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. They participate in program planning, protocol development, and team collaborations to meet healthcare goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations, review patient history, perform assessments, and communicate findings to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
- Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results and patient presentation, consulting with healthcare professionals as needed.
- Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and maintain accurate documentation of all patient care activities.
- Manage time effectively, meet productivity standards, and ensure timely, flexible, and empathetic patient access to care.
- Work across various settings, participate in quality improvement, community outreach, and marketing activities.
- Contribute to department goals, adhere to regulations, pursue continuing education, and mentor students and staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in relevant locations.
- CPR certification from recognized organizations.
- Knowledge of evaluation and treatment approaches, excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
