Position Overview The Occupational Therapist delivers comprehensive occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. They actively participate in program planning, protocol development, and team collaboration to achieve department goals. Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations through history review, assessments, and documentation; explain findings and involve patients and families in goal setting.Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results and patient presentation, consulting with healthcare professionals as needed.Manage discharge planning, follow-up care, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.Demonstrate effective time management, punctuality, and flexibility to work across various settings, ensuring patient access to care with empathy and professionalism.Participate in quality improvement teams, community outreach, hospital and community marketing activities, and serve as a clinical instructor or mentor.Contribute to achieving department objectives, adhere to regulations, and pursue ongoing professional development. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.Occupational Therapist licensure in relevant locations; CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross.Strong clinical competency, team collaboration, organizational skills, and excellent communication and customer service abilities.
