Responsibilities

  • Carries out an individualized program of occupational therapy, including treatment, planning, implementation, education, re-assessment, and communication to maximize the client's progress toward achieving the goals set forth in the IFSP.
  • Provides services to clients according to the treatment plan, evaluates, and maintains records of clients' progress.
  • Reports progress to parents and suggests activities they can do with their child to assist and supplement the student's occupational therapy program.
  • Educates parents about the program and addresses their questions or concerns.
  • Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
  • Meets with the team to review and discuss evaluations of clients' skills demonstrated in sessions.
  • Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars regularly to maintain and update professional skills.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with other team members.

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapist License in the State of NJ.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
