Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics

Saco Bay Kids is seeking a pediatric occupational therapist (OTR) to join our fun, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You will evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric patients with diagnoses ranging from sensory processing, emotional regulation, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, visual motor deficits, and more.

About the role

You will work with a large multi-disciplinary team to help pediatric patients reach their goals and learn new skills. Responsibilities include completing evaluations, re-evaluations, and daily treatments, as well as collaborating with other professionals. We see patients with a variety of needs, including sensory-based "picky" eating, feeding milestone delays, textural progressions, introducing solids, bottle feeding, oral motor delays, medical complexities (e.g., G-tube use and weaning), and genetic disorders impacting feeding.

Responsibilities

• Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency, and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs, completing patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with manager and physician approval per HIPAA guidelines.
• Stay current with occupational therapy research and employ evidence-based practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Adhere to the appropriate state Practice Act and laws governing occupational therapy practice and supervision.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy.
• State occupational therapist license (or eligibility).
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience in a pediatric clinic preferred.
• Experience with pelvic health and/or feeding services is ideal.

Pay

Salary is $60,000 to $80,000 based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday. PRN and part-time positions are also available.
