Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology to provide outpatient services. This role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration in a reputable pediatric hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and consider discharge needs and equipment requirements.
• Educate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers, and make specialist referrals as needed.
• Delegate tasks to assistants, techs, and students, ensuring proper skill level and competency.
• Complete documentation per departmental policies.
• Provide assessments, reassessments, and consultations for Occupational Therapy services.
• Establish and implement treatment plans considering patient discharge needs and equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and families.
• Delegate interventions appropriately and document all activities accurately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT); Master's preferred.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT Lic).
• No prior experience required; supervision experience not mandatory.
