Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
- Providing direct patient care and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, adhering to the state practice act.
- Documenting evaluations, progress notes, and other required information accurately and timely, complying with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team (supervisor, nurses, other therapists) to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Participating in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences.
- Training nursing staff and patient families on restorative programs and caregiver techniques for a smooth transition to home.
- Recommending and facilitating the acquisition of necessary durable medical equipment (DME) to promote patient independence.
- Participating in discharge planning to ensure a safe and successful return to the highest possible level of function.
- Assisting with in-service training programs for other staff within the facility.
- Ensuring department equipment is maintained in good working order by reporting any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapy license.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Experience in short-term rehabilitation services is preferred.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation equipment and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
$54-$65 per hour.
