Occupational Therapist (OTR)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents to improve their ability to perform daily activities, restore function, and maximize independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services focused on improving Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), strength, coordination, and functional independence.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and care team members.
• Participate in care planning, rehab meetings, and discharge planning.
• Conduct staff in-services and training as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's required; Master's or Doctorate preferred).
• Active, unencumbered OT license in South Carolina (required).
• Maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (preferred).
