About the role
We are seeking a Full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Current New York State OT License
- Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized OT treatment plans
- Select activities to promote residents' independence in daily tasks
- Observe, assess, and document residents’ progress through detailed reports
- Maintain confidentiality and foster trust with residents
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to develop personalized treatment plans
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of evidence-based OT practices aligned with the American Occupational Therapy Association standards
