Occupational Therapist (OT/COTA)

About the role

This role is based in Rockford, IL and serves students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The current caseload reflects approximately 1215 students, and the position offers a consistent schedule of 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services in alignment with IEP goals
• Conduct student evaluations and re-evaluations as needed (OT)
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Support students in developing functional, academic, and independent living skills
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting

Requirements

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (COTA)
• Active Illinois OT or COTA license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in a school setting (preferred)
• Ability to complete evaluations as needed (OT)
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal development
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Pay
