Occupational Therapist (OT + COTA)

About the role

Benchmark Human Services is dedicated to empowering marginalized populations and supporting the youngest among us. We provide comprehensive care through federal and state programs, focusing on babies and toddlers with disabilities or delays.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Federal and State regulations, including Connecticut Birth to Three Program Regulations.
• Administer evaluations and assessments.
• Develop rapport with children, families, and team members to promote a healthy learning environment.
• Develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and recommend strategies using evidence-based practices and Natural Learning Environment Practices.
• Provide families with information, skills, and support related to enhancing their child’s development.
• Utilize the coaching model and natural environment teaching.
• Participate in Birth to Three sponsored trainings, meetings, and learning opportunities as appropriate.
• Complete Birth to Three Service Coordinator Modules and function as the Service Coordinator.
• Ensure the health and safety of all staff and individuals served.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Occupational Therapy license (OT or COTA) in the state of CT.
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Hold a valid Connecticut driver's license.
• One year of experience working with children preferred.
• Bilingual skills encouraged.

• Salary range: OT - $65,000 - $80,000, COTA - $35,000 - $45,000

Schedule

Service coverage includes Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford, & Trumbull. Part-time and full-time positions available.
