Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA / OTA

About the role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant treats residents, under orders from a physician/OT, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potentials in all areas of a resident’s life. The Occupational Therapist participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing support and information within the area of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
• Assess residents’ functional abilities and develop treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions using various modalities and assistive devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Document progress and communicate with families and other healthcare providers

Requirements

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Experience working in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Part-time 3 days in Gastonia, NC

Full-Time Option

Full-time position with 3 days in Gastonia and 2 days in Pineville, NC

Sign-on Bonus

$3,000.00 sign-on bonus for full-time positions
