Role Overview
Responsible for coordinating and delivering occupational therapy services, focusing on individual patient needs and health conditions. Develops and implements personalized treatment plans, evaluates patients through various sources, and adjusts interventions accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform age-specific assessments from infants to geriatrics, adhering to guidelines and competencies.
- Create and modify individualized treatment programs based on ongoing evaluations.
- Utilize activities and tasks to promote health and achieve treatment goals.
- Provide direct therapy in various settings, coordinating with medical and rehabilitation teams.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding progress and needs.
- Build rapport and collaborate with team members and family members throughout treatment.
- Participate in professional development, educational programs, and departmental initiatives.
- Supervise and evaluate clinical interns from educational institutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active occupational therapy license in the practice state.
- Strong communication skills and visual acuity to perform job functions.
- Preferred 1-3 years of clinical experience with patients.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, confidentiality, safety standards, and teamwork.
