Responsibilities

  • Assesses and treats patients referred for Occupational Therapy.
  • Organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy programs to restore function, maximize independence, reduce pain, and prevent or correct disability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Preferred: Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Preferred: Certification in Physical Agent Modalities.
  • Preferred: Advanced Specialty Certification, including, but not limited to: Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR), Environmental Modification (SCEM or SCEM-A), Low Vision (SCLV), Gerontology (BCG), OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered).
  • Preferred: 2 years acute care Occupational Therapy experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification is required within the first 90 days of hire, thereafter an annual BLS refresher will be required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development required for effective communication and care of child, adolescent, adult, and older adult.
  • Florida State licensure to practice Occupational Therapy.

Frequent stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting is required when moving patients and/or equipment during treatment. Due to the nature of the work, good interpersonal skills and sensitivity are necessary.

$80,516.80 - $120,827.20 / year
