Occupational Therapist - Inpatient
About the role
The occupational therapist (OT) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of occupational therapy services. Upon referral, the OT performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements the plans of care, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, including appropriate disciplines, significant others and the patient.
Responsibilities
- Delivers and supervises others in the delivery of occupational therapy services.
- Performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes.
- Implements the plans of care and reassesses treatment results.
- Participates in discharge planning.
- Provides care for pediatric adolescent orthopedic patients as needed.
- Coverage of both inpatient and outpatient services may be required at the Ballard and Issaquah clinics.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Washington Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include coursework/training from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Additional qualifications include a Washington Occupational Therapist License upon hire and a National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Skills
Skills required for this role include knowledge of ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted state of the art practice.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
