Occupational Therapist-Inpatient

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services consistent with licensure to clients including evaluation of patient, establishing plan of care, implementing treatment, directing and educating patient and/or caregiver and documentation of the above.
• Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.
• Communicate with other health care providers regarding client care and treatment plans.
• Provide training and education for hospital staff as requested.
• Review and complete all insurance authorization requirements for patients in a timely manner.
• Aid in performance improvement for rehab department and hospital.
• Understand use and precautions of any treatments and equipment used.
• Positively contributes to the departmental financial performance/productivity.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited OT program.
• Licensure: Virginia State Occupational Therapy license or Compact Privilege.
